As 2008 begins to close city blocks begin to freeze and we are amidst the birth of a new presidency. My mind is wandering a lot lately. The major news media is finally using the deadly “R” word. Taxis continue to crash into things around me. Advertisements endlessly bombarded the sidewalks but they have no defense against permanent markers and free speech. Tibet is yet to be free but the demonstrations and outcry have not been deterred. There are still miniature Michael Jackson impersonators in the subway. No matter how gray the skies get there are still vibrant colors on the street. Fruit and plant life are abundant. Then suddenly I find myself in Union Square wearing a shark mask demonstrating for the sake of… or in the name of art.

This is an automatically generated warning message only.
Everything is going to be okay New York.

Love,

Dasco

  1. New York seems like a culturally diverse town. I would love to visit it sometime.
