We decided to hop on a plane to Africa, do some investigative work, hire the world’s foremost authority on contemporary African art, and publish the November issue dedicated to African art. The artists featured, including newsstand cover artist, Jane Alexander, and subscriber cover artist, Wangechi Mutu, are Mikhael Subotzky, Ghada Amer, Faith 47, Cheri Cherin, Pascale Tayou, Youssef Nabil, plus a critical essay on contemporary African art by philosopher and curator, Simon Njami.”
